Project 01 GIFT
During Pandemic, millions of people have lost their lives, and many are on the verge of deathbed. Where survival is crucial; amidst everything, the middle-class, lower-middle-class, and the lower-class people are feeling deprived of necessities. The majority of these people work in small enterprises, have limited earnings, or are day laborers. Some are still without income for a long time.
One of them is Mr. Anowar Hossain. He was previously used to work in one of the iron shops located in Chattogram. During the Pandemic, when there is no definite source of income, he has to take financial aid from relatives to survive.
Junu Akhtar is another case. She lost her husband when he was on his way to Shah Abdul Malek Kutubi (Rah) darbar by boat and drowned. The lady has no children of her own and no one in her family to earn. She either eats when helped by others or remains silent, suffering hunger.
In this case, the family of the expatriate is not behind. It is a fact that income source is very constraint locally and internationally. Therefore, the father of the person who told us about the problem works in Malaysia. Due to coronavirus, he is unable to pay for household expenditure. Unfortunately, the only source of income in their family is his father.
There is also Sirajul Islam, a man who is very honest and earns a living. Due to the current situation in the country, there is a lot of helplessness due to lack of work. Hardworking and devout, this man has a reputation for honesty and good deeds. But in the current situation, it is not possible to live with a reputation.
The Covid-19 virus is doing more harm to people financially and mentally than it is to them physically. The one who talked to us about the problem said the father of one is retired and infected by Covid-19. He was admitted to a hospital. The family situation is terrible. Cannot run costs because of his father's illness and financial opacity.
Antaheen Foundation tried to help these people to get out of the helpless situation by standing beside 25 families by providing them with some financial aid.
